MARKETTOTO – Toyota-Astra Motor (TAM) is contributing to the celebration of the 79th Anniversary of Indonesia’s Independence Day in the nation’s new capital, Nusantara (IKN), East Kalimantan.
The Japanese automotive manufacturer has prepared 40 units of the Toyota bZ4X electric car to support the mobility of VVIP participants attending the Independence Day ceremony. Henry Tanoto, Vice President Director of TAM, expressed that the company is honored to have been entrusted with providing 40 units of the Toyota bZ4X for this significant celebration at IKN.
“We hope that the bZ4X electric vehicles we are providing will help support the Indonesian Government’s goal of achieving pollution-free mobility,” he said, as quoted by VIVA from an official statement.
Tanoto also hopes that this initiative will further promote the sustainable transformation of electric vehicle usage as a future mobility solution in Indonesia. Toyota’s contribution of electric vehicles is part of its commitment to three sustainability programs: providing pollution-free mobility solutions at IKN, supporting Indonesia’s Net Zero Emission 2060 initiative, and fulfilling the Toyota Environmental Challenge 2050.
