What we love: After years of waiting, there is finally a reliable wedding website builder and a completely free app! Joy offers most of the features offered by premium sites (think: fast and intuitive interface, modern fonts and sleek site organization design) along with one of the most unique and user-friendly site layouts we have. views. They also recently partnered with an invitation printer to offer matching prints for more than half of their wedding website design options. What’s the catch: Joy’s page designs are quite rustic/floral, but can be avoided by choosing a custom colour instead (I chose a muted mustard shade). What’s the deal: Like most website builders who expertly guide you through the building process, the options for customizing a Zola website are very minimal. The website layouts are completely fixed and in some cases, you cannot even change some texts displayed prominently on your homepage. What’s the catch: Since Squarespace is mostly used for businesses that need top-notch hosting and site-building experiences, you might think you’re not making the most of the cost of hosting your site there because you won’t. they should use their offerings extensively (in-depth site analytics, for example, comes with a Squarespace subscription). Plus, Squarespace’s website design is so modern and minimalist that it relies on your uploaded photos to carry your site design. That being said, Squarespace has a great (and free!) logo maker that can help you spice up your wedding website header with something special!
Wix Wedding Website Builder
What we love: Wix offers three modern and minimalist wedding page layout options to get you started, but once you’ve chosen one, you can use any of the hundreds of options to back – fun and stylish blueprints (or your own image, as we did have). . The Wix Photo Downloader is one of the easiest to use, and the interface is very intuitive, easy to navigate, and highly customizable. If you like clicking, dragging, changing colours, and being able to resize every text box and graphic as many times as we do, then Wix is for you!
What’s the catch: Wix’s free plan comes with a rather obtrusive footer banner and a tab at the top of your wedding website promoting their hosting services (see above). It costs $10/month to upgrade and get rid of their banners.
