Top 10 Amazing Tropical Islands In The World To Explore

Top 10 Amazing Tropical Islands In The World To Explore: Since my time in the Caribbean in 2006, I’ve always had a fascination with islands. There’s just a different style of living and people seem to be more relaxed than in other places.

People aren’t as serious and lead a daily lifestyle instead of worrying about what the future holds for them. Through the years, I’ve realized that living on the islands is my jam. Wearing flip-flops while wearing swimming suits is so easy and that’s how it should be. Generate island names from the island name generator.

Amazing Tropical Islands In The World:

Do not make the usual lists that are made up by taking pictures on the Internet. I’ll tell you all about the most beautiful islands that I’ve been to and the reasons why I believe they should be included in each of the top 10 lists of most stunning islands around the globe.

I’m not wealthy and every one of the islands in the list below is accessible for a very low cost. I’ve learned to travel the world on a shoestring. So if I could then you too!

Are you curious about how I can afford to travel, and how it led me to become a full-time professional travel blogger? Read my journey in the link below.

1. San Blas Islands, Panama.

In 2013, I went on my first-ever sailing trip and immediately knew that I was destined for this! The feeling of being on the water far from this world, and not being able to see anything in any direction, what an incredible feeling! The ship set sail from Cartagena, Colombia and the trip brought me to one the most stunning tropical islands around the globe: San Blas Islands in Panama.

There are over 350 islands and there are plenty of tiny islands of paradise. I have seen islands that were as large as your living space and included only one palm tree. It is possible to snorkel nearly everywhere.

In addition, you can discover Playa de las Estrella, the beach that has a lot of starfishes. We paddled by canoe towards an island which was bar-only, the island that was next to it was a volleyball pitch. The islands here are so small and adorable that it’s almost impossible.

Fresh seafood is easy to locate and diving is of the highest quality. We also saw people making sales of sea turtles. It was an embarrassment to witness, however when people continue to buy these turtles, they’ll be caught and blame the tourists rather than the locals. Be responsible while travelling!!

2. Caye Caulker, Belize

After my time in the Caribbean in 2006, I had never been back to the cool island names, until after I reached Caye Caulker within Belize. This was my very first stop during my one-year journey around the globe in the year 2008. I actually planned to go there to explore the famed Deep Blue Hole, which was world-class.

However, that wasn’t the only reason this island became a go-to destination. There aren’t any motorized cars and only a few golf carts, and all other activities have to be done on foot. The island is only a couple hundred meters long and is basically a massive sandy bank.

Due to a typhoon, it split into two parts. the northern area is only palm trees. The only things I was wearing were my swimsuits and fresh fish at the barbeque at the shore enjoyed stunning sunsets, snorkelling and kayaking, as well as was able to drink with locals in The Split bar which transforms into an island on high tide. It deserves to be included in the top 10 most stunning islands around the globe.

And I nearly forgot that I also went racing on golf carts on the runway along with a wild local. The small airport wasn’t very popular, he explained to me that it was only used for flights at night, and planes fly with no lights brother”, he explained. What do I mean by that you know? No! If you hear the sound of a plane approaching we must leave as quickly as we can. What happens late at night isn’t our concern! Ok, understood! J

3. Raja Ampat, Indonesia

If you ask me what my favourite vacation was, I’ll definitely refer to my sailing experience across The Raja Ampat islands. This is a destination that very few people have been to and probably won’t visit.

Its location is remote, making it a sought-after destination from the shores of West Papua in Indonesia. I was one of the fortunate people to be a part of Mutiara Laut for a week. Mutiara Laut for a week of island hopping. this amazing archipelago as if it were a dream. It was wonderful to be on the ocean by myself and among these incredible islands.

There’s nothing here that can be considered a civilization, and besides some sea gipsies, there is no way to meet any. There are simply stunning little islands, caves, birds and spectacular sunsets. It isn’t one of the top islands around for a holiday because it’s pretty difficult to reach but it’s definitely one of the most stunning tropical islands on earth.

4. Kalanggaman, Philippines

Perhaps the least well-known on this list, yet it is so adorable that I had to give this beautiful location an honourable mention. For most, an island that measures 300×50 meters might not seem attractive enough to make a trip to however, when you watch my drone video that has amazing footage, you’ll understand the reason I put this spot on this list.

Allow me to convince you with my 20 pictures that will make you feel awestruck by Kalanggaman Island Leyte and a secret tip: spend the night in your own company! This is surely an island that is among the best tropical islands around the globe.

5. El Nido, Philippines

When I visited El Nido the first time I knew it was a beautiful place but the weather did not work out to my liking! In July 2016, I went back and completely loved it! Limestone cliffs crystal blue waters, wavy palm trees, and stunning beaches are just too perfect!

6. Providencia, Colombia

I’m betting that a lot of you haven’t known about this jewel and that’s why it’s so popular. From Bogota, it’s 2 an hour’s drive north of San Andres and from there it’s about five hours on a vessel to Providencia. If you check the map, it will show that it’s located situated just off the coast of Nicaragua and is far from Colombia! It is among the most exotic islands I’ve visited certain of.

The moment I arrived it took my heart. I had just a daypack and no accommodations booked, so a kind local offered me some places using his scooter. After I located a hotel that was private, it cost me $15, with AC.

I was tempted to pay him but he then said”No, don’t go to the bar tonight at the beach and purchase me an alcoholic drink! That night, I didn’t get to sleep in my bedroom. I consumed coconuts and rum as well as smoked many joints and slept in a hammock, watching the stars.

I did not even mention diving, the tasty local crab meals, walking around the island and riding my motorbike. Can I come back one day?

7. Bali, Indonesia

A place that is so well-known among travellers that I don’t need to explain how fascinating the place is. In the past few years, I have spent a significant amount of time in Bali and I’m looking forward to continuing my travels in the near future. The island is so full of an inspirational atmosphere that it’s an ideal place to connect with fellow travellers. In the past, I had the desire to stay more than one month.

Read about my adventures in finding an apartment to rent in Ubud. Bali is not always my top choice as my first trip to Bali was not a great achievement. According to me, Bali isn’t an ideal beach getaway! For stunning beaches, choose another location, however, it’s definitely one of the top islands to go to on holidays.

8. Koh Tao, Thailand

If you’ve been following my journey for the past few years are aware that I left a part of my heart here. Since my arrival for the first time in 2009, I’ve returned each year. In total, I stayed six months, and in 2014 I decided to take my PADI Divemaster course in this location.

The island lifestyle at its best, coupled with the affordable price makes it one of my top destinations. It’s like living on many islands, and it doesn’t matter what your appearance is. Flipflops, shorts for swimming and a worn-out t-shirt are the perfect attire to wander around in.

In addition, there’s a lively atmosphere with hundreds of young tourists who pass through each day. should you wish to stay away from the crowds, there are plenty of Koh Tao Viewpoints that allow you to enjoy the breathtaking views.

Learn more about the 5 most enjoyable activities to enjoy on Koh Tao for non-divers. Koh Tao isn’t one of the most exotic destinations on this list, but it is definitely one of the most beautiful islands to go on on holiday!

9. Maldives

For many people, it is a dream destination for a beach vacation and perhaps one of the most exotic destinations on this globe: Maldives. I visited Villingili, one of the more Southern islands of the Maldives, Villingili: is remote but stunning.

This private island is where Shangri La Maldives is located and I was one of those fortunate enough to be staying on an island that is over water in a bungalow.
