Bottom Pants: Are you set to style yourself
If you’re like most people, you love denim. I am a big fan of bell bottom pants— probably because I was meant to live in the 70s. That decade had the best style, hands down. I’m all about concert tees, plaid bell bottom pants, and platform heels.
I have a few pairs of high-waist bell-bottom jeans that I adore. A light wash pair is excellent for spring/summer or more relaxed outfits. And then a supersaturated dark wash pair can almost work as trousers if you style it right. I also got some white ones last year that are ideal for summertime looks.”
I adore high-waist bell bottom pants for a multitude of reasons. They give off a fancier vibe than classic skinny jeans and can be extremely flattering! If you’re looking to balance out your hips and elongate your legs, look no further – Bell bottoms do just that. This style of super flared jeans was made famous back in the 1970s.
But they have returned from the brink of extinction on a few occasions. It’s one of those things that is always in fashion, but they have seasons when they are more desired. Regardless, I’m a fan and intend to wear them for as long as possible. So here are some suggestions for wearing bell bottoms.
Style & look attractive
When styling this silhouette, here are a few things to remember:
- Go for high-waisted pants. Not only are they more flattering, but they also create the illusion of a longer body line.
- Get them tailored to your preferred shoes. The hem should barely touch the ground, no higher, but you can have them be longer and let them “puddle” a bit at the bottom.
- Remember to balance your outfit.
Opt for a more tailored and fitted top wearing wide-legged pants. Not only will it be more flattering on your body, but it won’t be as overwhelming.
· Best shoes to wear with bell bottom pants
Many people always ask me what type of shoes to wear with bell-bottom jeans, so here are my thoughts on the matter. First and foremost, go for chunky and tall shoes. It’s also essential to tailor your jeans to fit your shoes perfectly – you don’t want them too short or messy. My favorite look is a platform peep toe shoe with wide-leg jeans.
I go for a big wedge espadrille in the summer, and in the fall and winter, I wear a chunky bootie or mule. Length is vital – you don’t want your jeans to be too short or too long. They should constantly graze the ground!
· How you can wear your bottom pants?
My favorite way to dress up bell bottom pants is to wear them with a polo shirt and sneakers. I generally grab my black wash bell bottoms when I need to feel ready for a casual business meeting.
In my opinion, they’re similar to trousers. You’re good to go after adding a nice blouse and jacket. It’s also attractive tucked in a beautiful sweater.
· How to accessorize with the bell bottoms
You can accessorize flared denim as you would with your favorite skinny jeans. To add that complete touch to your outfits, add some trendy accessories. Finish off your look with a nice belt. A beautiful handbag or clutch, and there you have it!

To encourage you to experiment with the bell bottom style, I’ve included a few of my favorite personal ensembles and some that I covet! You may also swap the bell bottoms for a shorter flare or regular flared jeans.
· Casual
Bell bottom pants are a fun and unique way to break out of the mundane jeans-and-a-tee rut. To style them in a more casual bohemian outfit, pair them with a cropped cozy sweater and mules. I prefer the crop sweater since these bell bottoms are high-waisted; it creates a better balance.
· Business casual
Going business casual with your wide-leg jeans, go dark, and add a third item. When done correctly, darker-wash jeans feel almost like pants. The look is completed with a third garment, such as a blazer or jacket, which makes it seem more polished.
· White bell bottoms for summer
White bell bottoms bring me back to the 70s in the best way possible. They can be dressed up or down and are perfect for summertime. Many people like to pair them with a denim jacket and some sneakers to give it a casual look or even a blouse and heels, giving it a more dressy look.
· Wide-leg jeans for spring
Lightweight utility jackets and open-toed shoes are always on my wish list when it’s time to dress for the spring. This combination is fantastic for dresses, shorts, or jeans and looks excellent with wide-leg jeans.
· Perfect layers
With wide-leg jeans, it’s difficult to avoid adding too much volume. It is essential to keep things long and thin! Long vests are fantastic with a basic turtleneck.
· Black wide-leg jeans for winter
Winter can be dreary, so why not try black-washed denim for a vintage-inspired look that will breathe new life into your wardrobe? Paired with a comfy baby blue sweater, this is my go-to outfit when I’m feeling low and staying in bed is the only option.

Plaid bell bottom pants can be a great way to show off your style. They can be worn with various tops and shoes to create a unique look. Here are a few tips on how to look appealing and stylish in plaid bell-bottom pants.
· Consider the season
Plaid bell bottom pants are a winter garment. However, you can wear them in other seasons as well. If you live in an area with a warm climate, you can wear them with a t-shirt and sandals. You can layer them with a sweater and boots when residing in a cold region.

They can look good on any body type. However, it is essential to choose a style that flatters your figure. If you have a pear-shaped body, you should look for pants that fit at the waist and flare at the hips.
Have an hourglass body? Then you should look for pants that fit at the waist and have a slight flare at the bottom. If you have a rectangular body, you should look for slightly flared pants at the bottom.

Plaid bell bottom pants tend to run large. You should therefore order one size smaller than your usual size.
· Consider the occasion
The bottom pants are best saved for casual occasions. You can dress up with a blouse and heels for a more formal look, but they are not appropriate for business or formal occasions.
