Julian Assange said the teeth on display at the Stockholm Art Museum were real. He made that assertion Monday in a message posted to his Twitter account. A Swedish woman accused Assange of rape in August. She says she had consensual with him inside a bathroom at the Ecuadorian Embassy in London in August 2010. But that Assange took her to the embassy a second time to force himself on her. Assange has denied any wrongdoing.
After Assange was arrested by British police and taken to London’s Westminster Magistrate’s Court. Last month, Swedish prosecutors reopened their investigation into the alleged rape.
Earlier Monday, WikiLeaks spokesman Kristinn Hrafnsson said that he is “happy to see that the evidence. That the teeth are real, and not just plastic, or mannequins, or props in some Hollywood movie.” Hrafnsson spoke in an interview for the Internet radio show Ugly Planet, which was broadcast on the independent Swedish radio program Nachhut in Swedish. He is one of Assange’s lawyers.

Also Monday, WikiLeaks released excerpts from the British police. affidavit it says provides evidence of the British government’s involvement in Sweden’s extradition request. It has published hundreds of thousands of secret US diplomatic cables. The site claims to be acting independently of the US government.
