The new model of TAG Heuer’s historic diving watch has been called the Aquaracer Professional 300.
With its striking, instantly recognizable aesthetic embodied by the emblematic 12-faceted bezel, the Aquaracer has been designed for both the everyday and the decidedly contemporary free time. The first Aquaracer was launched in 1978: the Heuer Ref. 844, which was distinguished by the unforgettable design of the dial with a red 24-hour scale, the highly visible luminescent hour markers and the rotating diver’s bezel with transparent minute scale for timing. diving in complete safety.watch
It set the standards of reliability for diving watches and was adopted by professionals
and amateurs of the discipline all over the world. Over the next 40 years, TAG Heuer presented famous models such as the Night Diver and the 1000 and 2000 Series specimens. For the debut Aquaracer Professional 300 collection, TAG Heuer designers wanted to create a bold, high-performance and ergonomic dive timepiece in full TAG Heuer style. In addition, they wanted to respect the company’s diving watch tradition and, at the same time, offer refined materials and designs, up to the expectations of today’s customers.best replica watches
A task that meant working with the six iconic features of the Aquaracer collection,
renewing and optimizing them. Since 1983, the line has been distinguished by its unidirectional rotating bezel, screw-down crown, water resistance to at least 200 meters, luminescent indicators, sapphire crystal and double safety buckle – practical functions on which the sub. To begin with, the team focused on the instantly recognizable design element of the Aquaracer: the 12-sided unidirectional rotating bezel.fake TAG Heuer
The designers have kept its original shape and revisited it by integrating a scratch-resistant ceramic insert
in all models in the collection and laterally engraving each of the 12 facets to facilitate the grip and handling of the bezel, regardless of which side is held. The restyling went further with the redesign of the internal tooth profile of the bezel aimed at making the mechanism more harmonious, silent and easier to set. The result is a highly ergonomic tool that presents tangible improvements in the functionality of the watch. The sapphire crystal also has a new face: it now integrates a magnifying glass on the date window at 6 o’clock at the bottom, for a smooth surface to the touch.
A simple but effective refinement that increases the readability of the date from wider angles.
The profile of the bezel was used to give space to further elements of the design of the Aquaracer Professional 300, which today features eight octagonal hour markers and a twelve-sided crown. The overall look and legibility of the timepiece have also been improved. The new model boasts a wider, sword-shaped hour hand (a reference to the latest TAG Heuer 2000 Series model launched in 2004) and a thinner minute hand to allow them to be clearly distinguished even in low light conditions. For greater visibility, the designers chose green Super-LumiNova® for the hour hand and indexes and blue Super-LumiNova® for the minute hand. The crown guard has also been rethought and features softer, rounded lines framing the crown, in tribute to Ref. 844.
During the conception phase, TAG Heuer designers identified the need to make the Aquaracer Professional 300 more versatile,
so that, in addition to being a reliable tool, it could adapt to numerous uses. Since more and more people rely on diving timepieces for their robustness and versatility and who, at the same time, want a model to accompany them in everyday life and in their free time, they have revisited the shape of the Aquaracer, making it more thinner and lighter. The profile of the case, bezel and metal bracelet has been reduced, without compromising the basic characteristics that ensure the performance of the watch, such as water resistance up to 300 meters (30 bar). The lugs of the new timepiece are shorter and the visual impact, thanks to the beveled and polished edge of the case, is more harmonious and refined.
Therefore,
on the wrist it boasts a more sophisticated profile and is lighter and more ergonomic.
To complete the look and feel of the Aquaracer Professional 300, the designers have taken up the famous diving suit with diving suit that first appeared on the Aquaracer back in 2004. In line with the style of the facets, the leitmotif of the new design, the diver helmet now features sharper lines and a new 12-sided visor. A hexagonal pattern as background of the caseback. From now on, the caseback will always be square to the case so that the diving suit is placed correctly.
In the launch phase, seven references will be available for the basic collection in two sizes.
Four of these with a 43 mm diameter and three with a 36 mm case. All equipped with unidirectional rotating diver’s bezel with ceramic insert and engraved minute scale. You are in stainless steel, with a black, blue or silver dial. There will also be a 43mm specimen in matt high-tech grade 2 titanium with a green dial. The stainless steel watches are distinguished by the black or blue ceramic insert with a white triangle at 12 o’clock coated with blue Super-LumiNova®. The titanium timepiece features a green ceramic insert in the yellow triangle bezel at 12 o’clock and blue Super-LumiNova®-coated minute scale indications for maximum legibility.
All seven references feature elegant engraved dials.
The 43 mm models incorporate one of the most emblematic design elements of the latest Aquaracer, namely the horizontal lines engraved on the dial, which are now more spaced to contribute to the watch’s more refined look. The dials of the smaller 36mm models are engraved with a wave pattern, introduced in 2019. The blue 36mm timepiece also has eight diamond hour markers and polished central links of the bracelet. Each model is distinguished by the new integrated metal bracelet, equipped with a highly sophisticated precision adjustment system that allows you to increase or reduce its length up to 1.5 cm. In this way, the wearer can adjust the size of the bracelet to adapt to any changes in climate or temperature without having to remove the watch.
