How to Draw Anna From Frozen
Since its theatrical debut in 2013, Disney’s animated film Frozen has won the hearts of parents and children worldwide. Since then, it has been adapted into plays, musicals, ice performances, feature films, and an animated sequel.
The story of Frozen was inspired by a fairy tale by Hans Christian Andersen called The Snow Queen. Anna’s sister, Elsa, has magical powers over ice and snow. However, after her powers hurt Anna, Elsa pushes her sister away.
After Elsa is crowned queen, her powers are revealed, and she is labeled a monster. She builds an ice castle in the mountains so she can live alone. However, unknowingly, she releases an eternal winter on earth. When her sister Anna looks for her, they discover together that true love is the secret to controlling her powers.

Step-by-step instructions for drawing Anna from Frozen
Step 1
Use a series of curved lines to draw the “J” shape outline of Anna’s chin and cheeks.
Step 2
Use a series of curved lines to draw Anna’s ear and hair. Notice the jagged ends of the hair that rests on her forehead. Note the star shape formed by the curved lines in the center of her hair. Then use two curved lines to outline her neck.
Step 3
Draw Anna’s braid. To do this, use curved lines going in opposite directions to form a series of incomplete heart shapes. Note that some shapes contain additional lines, which enclose curves and detail her hair. Draw the bobby pin at the end of the braid. Next, draw the “tail” of the braid using two curved lines that meet at a point. Detail the tail and hair on top of the head with additional curved lines.
Step 4
Draw Anna’s other braid, again enclosing spiky, curvy shapes converging in opposite directions. Notice how each set almost forms a heart shape. Draw a round barrette at the end of the braid and draw the tail of the braid using two curved lines that meet at a point.

Draw the bodice of Anna’s dress. Draw a line across her neck to indicate her necklace. Then use long, curved lines to outline her torso. Note the double “C” shaped lines on her shoulder. Draw two curved lines in a “V” shape between the braids.

Extend the neckline to the top of the bodice using two pairs of straight lines. Detail her neck with a horizontal line. Then use two curved lines to outline her arm.

Draw a spiral floral pattern to decorate the bodice. Draw stems and leaves using pairs of wavy lines that meet at points. To draw the tulip flowers, start with a line in a “W” shape. Attach a line in a “U” shape below it. Finally, draw small circles around the pattern.

Draw Anna’s eyes. Start each eye by drawing a circle within a circle. Draw a small circle along the side of the inner circle, then shade the inner circle to make her pupil. Draw a curved shape on each side and shade a dark line along the top outer edge. Then use two curved lines to form a curled shape further each eye, telling the eyebrows.
